Basilis is the best Greek food I have ever had! My son and I love the greek burger and my wife the spanakopita and falaful. The rice pudding and baklava are out of this world! The atmosphere is even like a mediterranean restaurant. Having traveled to more than 40 countries I find this little spot to be another journey the beauties of foreign destinations. The place usually has someone in their speaking greek, the music and the people makes it our little “big fat greek” hangout.

Their meat gyro is fantastic and their salads are very fresh. Excellent galaktobouriko! I wasn't so happy with their tiropita or spanikopita--seemed kind of greasy to me (could they have possibly nuked it in the microwave?) Otherwise, it's great food at reasonable prices!

"Basilis almost set up shop in the West End!"

Bullet: dodged.

The menu looks great, and I'm glad to hear their philosophy on fresh ingredients. I might be in Carytown this weekend, and if I am I'll definitely go here for lunch.

I didn't see a link in the post (I may have missed it) but they have a web page with the menu: http://www.basilisgr.com/
