I loved the Grilled Chicken from KFC. It has taken the place of my usual NON-FRIED chicken restaurant(Boston Market, which I still love). In fact, I haven't had fried chicken in almost three months since the Grilled debut. Except for Chick-Fil-A, which has the GREATEST chicken sandwich EVER. Oh, and don't ever try Churchs' chicken, unless AWFUL chicken entices you.

Tara is annoying an should be thrown off a bridge... Kidding.

Reality is no one eats at just one level of restaurant. An evening dinner may be at Sensi or Can-Can but lunch may KFC or a scary gas station along a lonely highway, bruch could be at the Jefferson or at a Denny's. Reviews help you make those tough decisions from when you are dropping a BILL to when you are dropping a bill.

We may not eat at KFC, Lee's is too close when we have that particular craving, but I have been curious about the new grilled chicken over at KFC. Matty Matt has now answered my question and when we are doing a quick meal we'll stick to the Lee's or the Popeye's near our house.

Mr Burger brings up a good point but that would require a much longer comment then I am about to post right now.... maybe later. :)

Scott- great point.

That is definitely on my conscious. What is frustrating is that the whole system is tied into factory farming.

even the the restaurants and stores that try to do the right thing, it is hard to be sure that they are.

i think there is progress being made, but it is a challenging endeavor and even more difficult when eating out.

http://www.vagreenparty.org/richblog/?p=333

You may or may not not get sick from eating fast food chicken and pork, but be aware that factory farming is causing things like 'swine flu' as well as pollution.

Chicken factory farming is killing the Chesapeake Bay. Go see recent PBS documentary Poisoned Waters.

Anthony Bourdain swears by the fluorescent orange mac'n'cheese from KFC and is only mildly embarrassed about it. On his recommendation, I got a small serving. Tastes like a salty electric 9volt battery shock on the tongue and has the texture of something polymer-based. In other words, gimmesomemore.

When it comes to the fast food variety of chicken I would go for Popeye's first and Chick-Fil-A second although a friend says Church's is the bomb. However the best chicken in the world is Pollo Rico up in Arlington. Chicken Fiesta on Midlothian is damn close and the folks that work there are awesome.

While we are on Chik-Fil-A, I love me some. I get a Chick-Fil-A with American Cheez, xtra pickles, and a packet of that crappy mayo.... Heaven. I do find it interesting that they get the hall pass when it comes to fast food restaurants. Why is it? 'Cause they are still some in comparison? Thoughts?

I have to agree with sadlermr. In the interest of being fair, you have to look at ALL makers of food. As a cook myself, I can assure you that every cook, whether they be a line cook at Buffalo Wild Wings or a chef at Michelin star restaurant, all have a guilty pleasure where food is concerned. For instance, I myself will defend the Spicy Big Bite from 7-11. If you ever put one of those in front of me and then took it away my likely response would be to claw your eyes out unless you gave it back.

We're all here for food. That much is plain. We all want to learn more about it and enjoy it as often as possible. Bias only takes away from that.

By the way, Chick-Fil-A is awesome. Those waffle fries were created by some kind of God.
